Area Commanders, The Salvation Army of Central Virginia

WHAT

The second annual Run for Hope offers options for all with a family-friendly 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk or a timed 5K to benefit The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Richmond. The run is on a paved course that is stroller, walker and runner friendly. There will be a Community Village with activities for runners and their cheerleaders to participate in before, during and after the race, including a Mindful Movement session with 12 On Your Side Reporter and Certified Yoga Instructor, Jasmine Turner.

WHY

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Richmond, located in the heart of Church Hill, believes every child should have a safe, nurturing and supportive community to call their own. Through scholarships and affordable rates, their afterschool programs and camps enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring responsible citizens. Hope is the belief that the future will be better than today and that one has the power to make it so. Now more than ever, we are reminded of the power of hope and how it changes lives and futures. The Run for Hope is a fundraiser to support the Club’s mission for all Greater Richmond youth. Support hope.
