Captain Melody Moran leads the pastoral responsibilities for the Citadel Corps, including Sunday worship and Sunday school, youth and adult spiritual development and evangelistic outreach programs including our Canteen Ministry, Mission Trips, Christmas Assistance and more.

Located in the scenic heart of Virginia hides Camp Rappahannock, a residential summer camp and retreat center. Here, youth and adults gather for summer camps, womens and mens camps, seniors camps and enrichments weekends each year. Learn more about Camp Rappahannock Camp and Retreat Center.

We offer ministries for men, women and seniors in small, group style Bible studies as well as opportunities for outings and field trips around the state.

Women's Camp retreat -- an annual event -- that our women's ministry attended in Baltimore, Maryland in 2024.

Richmond Citadel has a long standing band program, specializing in Brass Band performance.

Our Corps (church) offers free lessons as well as ensembles, senior band, Christmas ministries and much more.

Youth perform with the National Capital Band at the annual Christmas Concert at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Richmond, VA.

Starting the musical interest off young with Beginner Band.

Our youth attend Divisional Music and Arts Camp, which is located at Camp Rappahannock in Culpepper, VA.

The Corps Brass Band practices weekly and performs regularly at camps and events, especially during the Christmas season.


Members of the Corps Brass Band play during bell ringing seasons to raise money and awareness for The Salvation Army Central Virginia.

The Potomac Brass Band practices and performs at The Salvation Army Bahamas Youth Councils Conference.

 

The Richmond Citadel has programing available for kids from nursery age through college. From small group bible studies and outings to weekly youth meetings, our kids have the opportunity to earn emblems while learning life skills and important characteristics such as commitment, love, courage and honesty. We also offer a variety or arts enrichment, leadership and discipleship programs for kids.

Coach Tom hosts a baseball clinic for the youth, culminating with an end-of-season scrimmage and an outing to Richmond's Flying Squirrels.

Teens spend their spring break putting together hygiene and toiletry kits to deliver to senior centers.

Club 316 gathers weekly to share in God's word and fun activities. There are music, dance and art options for all ages.
