2025 Leaders Doing The Most Good Award Winners Announced
Third Annual Luncheon Recognizes Excellence in Greater Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. (FEB. 28, 2025). The Salvation Army Central Virginia is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Leaders Doing The Most Good Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions in the non-profit, corporate, and individual sectors. Since 1885, The Salvation Army has served the Greater Richmond community, and this year’s honorees exemplify a shared commitment to service and positive impact.
The third annual Leaders Doing The Most Good Awards Luncheon will take place on Thursday, May 1, at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond. This event not only honors remarkable community members but also serves as a fundraiser supporting essential Salvation Army programs throughout Central Virginia.

- Ms. Jasmine Turner – Individual Excellence
“We are honored to celebrate these outstanding community leaders who have partnered with The Salvation Army in serving those most in need,” said Major Samuel Kim, Area Commander of The Salvation Army Central Virginia. “Live Red Foundation, The Page Auto Group, and Ms. Jasmine Turner have dedicated themselves to improving and uplifting our community, and we look forward to recognizing their contributions.”
ABOUT THE HONOREES:
Live Red Foundation – Non-Profit Excellence
Live Red Foundation provides free fitness programs for children ages 5–18 in underserved neighborhoods, using sports to teach critical life skills like goal setting, empathy, and self-control. In 2021 alone, the foundation conducted over 100 programs, impacting more than 5,500 children across Richmond. Their longstanding partnership with The Salvation Army includes working twice weekly with after-school and summer camp youth, as well as co-hosting the annual Run for Hope fundraiser.
The Page Auto Group – Corporate Excellence
For more than a decade, The Page Auto Group has supported the Greater Richmond community through financial contributions and volunteerism, assisting organizations such as the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, Feed More, Meals on Wheels, and more. Their partnership with The Salvation Army has expanded from providing transportation for Red Kettle bell ringers to hosting seven donation drop-off sites across the region, demonstrating their deepening commitment to community service.
Ms. Jasmine Turner – Individual Excellence
A dedicated journalist and community leader, Jasmine Turner embodies the spirit of Doing The Most Good through her work as an evening news anchor and investigative reporter for 12 On Your Side. In addition to serving on multiple advisory boards, she has volunteered as the emcee for this luncheon for the past two years and personally supports Angel Tree to bring holiday joy to children in need. She also played a key role in the Run for Hope youth fundraiser, leading a Mindful Movement warm-up before the race and running alongside participants to encourage and support them.

The luncheon will be emceed by Ms. Kelli Lemon, Director of Digital Programming for Virginia Video Network and Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Past honorees include Puritan Cleaners, Feed More, and Mr. Reginald “Reggie” Gordon, recognized for their corporate, non-profit, and individual excellence in service respectively.
As a fundraiser, all proceeds from the event directly support The Salvation Army’s local programs, including emergency shelter, youth mentorship, food assistance, and workforce development initiatives.
