Changing children's lives in the east end for nearly 100 years

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club’s mission is to be a safe and empowering environment to provide kids, teens and community members opportunities to reach their full potential. Our after school and summer camp programs weave together academics, enrichment, recreation and character formation. And by promising a brighter future for the youth of our community, we’re healing lives, inspiring leaders for life and creating a path to successful careers. We strive to develop strong citizens who raise families without barriers, live hope-filled lives and give back to their community.

Our wide variety of programs serve children aged 6-18. Programs cover our six key focus areas: education & career, health & life skills, character & leadership, morality & values, sports & fitness, and arts.

How we help empower youth

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club has been empowering youth to have a bright future for nearly 100 years. Youth ages 6-18 are eligible to become Club members and receive the resources, knowledge and support to become successful and passionate adults. Our programs focus on 6 core value groups: Arts & Science, Education & Career, Character & Leadership, Sports & Fitness, Health & Life Skills and Morality & Values.

Afterschool Programming
Throughout the school year, youth have the opportunity to come to the Club for after-school programming. They receive daily meals, devotions, homework help and experience unique programming like STEM, music recording, fashion design and more. Our calendar follows the Richmond Public Schools Calendar. For more information about enrolling your child(rent), visit The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club website here

Summer Day Camp
The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club offers a summer day camp all summer long. Campers aged 6-16 are eligible to attend.
